Hialeah, FL / April 30, 2014 – Hialeah Park Race Track & Casino will be a “one-stop, full-service destination” for South Florida horseplayers and boxing fans over Cinco De Mayo weekend.

The landmark venue will offer “watch and wager” simulcasting of the full racing cards from Churchill Downs, including The Kentucky Oaks on Friday May 2 and The Kentucky Derby on Saturday May 3

The 140th Kentucky Oaks, for three-year-old fillies, and the 140th Kentucky Derby, for the top three-year-olds in America, are scheduled deep in the Churchill Downs racing programs on their respective days. The Kentucky Oaks is set for a 5:49 PM ET start on Friday, while The Kentucky Derby will go to post at 6:24 PM ET on Saturday.

Also on Saturday night, Hialeah Park will feature a live Pay-Per-View telecast of the Floyd Mayweather, Jr. vs. Marcos Maidana world championship boxing match from the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, NV.

The title bout and the undercard fights will be shown in Hialeah Park’s famed Flamingo Lounge, with a bar menu and drink specials available to all fans in attendance.

The invincible Mayweather, now 37 years old, will take his perfect (45-0, 26 KOs) record into his 23rd world title fight against the 30-year-old Maidana (35-3, 31 KOs) with two titles –the WBC Welterweight crown and the WBC Super World Welterweight crown– on the line.
