Largest gay and lesbian business group promotes opportunities for members, Miami as a year-round gay-friendly destination, and more
Miami, FL – October 21, 2016 – The Miami-Dade Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (MDGLCC) recently announced Hialeah Park as a Corporate Partner Plus member for 2016-2017. Headquartered in Miami Beach, MDGLCC is the second largest LGBTQ-oriented chamber in the country. The chamber’s non-profit objectives include promoting a unified and thriving, gay and gay-friendly, business and professional community, providing resources for members and outreach to other organizations.
“Hialeah Park is delighted to support the MDGLCC, and we look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with them and their already-impressively diverse list of members,” says Hialeah Park’s Vice President of Entertainment Frank Fiore. “We believe the chamber’s mission of promoting business and entertainment opportunities for all falls in line with our core values.”
Currently, the MDGLCC has a roster of member companies than span 140 business categories and represent 600 companies and 1,200 professionals, with organizations ranging from accountants, bars / clubs, cultural arts organizations, liquor companies, to photographers, publishers and publications, restaurants, wedding venues and more. They host happy hour networkers, networking breakfasts, panel discussion luncheons, mixers, an annual gala, and promote member events year-round.
“With a purchasing power of $8 billion annually in Miami-Dade alone, it is important that businesses in South Florida take advantage of membership in the MDGLCC to reach this very important consumer,” said Steve Adkins, president of the MDGLCC. “We are thrilled that Hialeah Park embraces the diversity of our local community and has joined the Chamber to share their brand’s values and build their brand awareness among our loyal constituents.”
Hialeah Park is home to a casino with slot machines, poker tables, electronic roulette and blackjack, and hosts private and corporate events, concerts, and seasonal quarter horse racing. Champions Simulcast Center and Sports Bar offers a year-round pari-mutuel betting schedule. There are also plans for an onsite full-service hotel, a movie theater, and an outdoor shopping village.
Hialeah Park Racing & Casino, with entrances at 100 East 32nd Street and 2200 East 4th Avenue, is easily accessible from all major Miami highways. The landmark venue is conveniently located just minutes by car from Miami International Airport, South Beach, Downtown Miami, Coral Gables, and Doral.
