Furious Late Charge Nets Stakes Win For Rdustys Fury, Eye Go Streakin Tops Futurity Qualifiers

Hialeah, FL / December 1, 2013 – Womack Cavender Farms’ Rdustys Fury, saddled by last season’s top trainer Brandon Muniz and ridden by Jesse Lee Levario, came charging late on the outside to win Sunday’s 1st running of the $28,250 Mockingbird Stakes at Hialeah Park.

The two-year-old gray filly, installed as the 5-2 morning line favorite, provided her backers with an 8-1 overlay price and a $19.20 win mutuel after she collared front runner Ja Jess Elegance to score by 3/4-of a length in a time of 13.060 seconds (3 MPH tailwind) for 250 yards.

“Brandon (Muniz) told me she was a good filly,” Levario, riding Rdustys Fury for the first time, said. “He told me to hold on tight and keep her mind on running.”

The winner, who scored back-to-back victories at Remington Park earlier this year, tallied for the third time in her sixth lifetime start. She claimed the winner’s share of $16,950 and upper her career earnings to $50,443.

After Rdustys Fury, the order of finish in the Mockingbird was: Ja Jess Elegance, Ja Gols Fireband, Blues Cartel, Aidens Corazon, Ms Kalies Fortune, Ttt Kellys Cowboy, Jess Like Zoom, Pm Runaway Dash, and Blue Jean Harley.

Earlier on the Sunday afternoon program, the two-year-old gray gelding Eye Go Streakin won for the first time as he scored a solid one-length victory in the second of two trial heats for the $50,000-added FQHRA Stallion Stakes Futurity on December 22.

The Ajax Downs invader, a son of Streakin Six Cartel by Eye Go Kim (Mr Eye Opener), was bred in Florida by Flying Fisch Farm, Inc., but his only two lifetime starts coming into the trials were north of the border in Ontario, Canada in September and October of this year.

Eye Go Streakin covered 350 yards in 17.575 seconds (10 MPH tailwind) to post the fastest time of the 10 runners now qualified for the finals in three weeks.

He gave his connections, owners MLP, “From The Inside,” Inc., trainer Stanley Webb, and jockey Roger Buening their first victories at Hialeah Park.

The 10 top qualifiers for the 2013 FQHRA Stallion Stakes Futurity are: Eye Go Streakin (17.575), Spittin Jessie (17.755), A Tac Bunny (17.783), Zoomininthewind (17.789) Streakin Gatorgirl (17.876), Tmf Good Cartel (17.882), Jazzing Dreamer (17.884), Anna Delovely (18.054), Corona Perry (18.099) and Ja Gols Playboy (18.147).
