Honor Me Good, hero of the 2013 City Of Hialeah Stakes, was a much-traveled 8YO gelding when he finally made his Hialeah Park debut that season.
Owned by Rancho Los Dos Potrillos LLC and trained by Brandon Muniz in South Florida, Honor Me Good had raced at 12 other Quarter Horse tracks across America before his third-place effort in the Orange Blossom Stakes in late December.
The gelding visited the winner’s circle after running away from six rivals in the City Of Hialeah as a 2-1 favorite under Oscar Rincon. Honor Me Good, by With Honors out of Miss Casady Lady, by Casady Casanova, was bred in Idaho in 2005.
In addition to his victory at Hialeah Park, this “professional race horse” won races at Los Alamitos, Sun Downs, Evangeline Downs, Portland Meadows, Zia Park, and Will Rogers Downs.
