Opening Of Kings Court VIP Poker Room Completes First Step Of Major Improvements,
Renovations Of Outdoor Fountain Terrace And Brass Rail Simulcast Center Underway

Hialeah, FL / May 18, 2015 – The recent opening of the King’s Court VIP Poker Room at Hialeah Park Racing & Casino marked the completion of the initial step in a bold and aggressive $60,000,000 expansion program that will transform this historic venue into South Florida’s premier destination for the best in gaming, entertainment, dining, and leisure.

Over the course of the next few months, work plans include the renovation of the outdoor Fountain Terrace entertainment area, located just outside the Casino, and the horse racing simulcast area located on the second floor of the clubhouse.

Improvements on the Fountain Terrace will feature the addition of a roof for both the lounge area and the stage. When the popular outdoor venue re-opens, it will feature a new bar, luxurious furnishings, and multiple flat-screen televisions.

Expansion and renovation of the horse racing simulcast areas will be highlighted by extensive renovations of The Brass Rail area. Additionally, the entire second floor interior will be remodeled to provide the finest simulcasting facilities in South Florida. Improvements will include hundreds of “chorale seats” with personal television monitors, a significant addition of extra-large flat-screen televisions, and air conditioning throughout the area.

Hialeah Park Chairman of the Board, John J. Brunetti, Sr., commented on the progress of the $60,000,000 expansion program.  “We are excited about the completion of the various stages of our expansion program which will make us far more than just a racing and gaming facility,” Mr. Brunetti stated.

“We are taking advantage of our 200 acre site, which is, in reality, the size of the original Disneyland property in Anaheim, California,” Mr. Brunetti added. “We are going to replete our entire property with commerce, entertainment, gaming, business development, and other leisure and business activities to meet the ever-growing expansion and the development of the South Florida area.”

“We are all very fortunate to see the tremendous new products and services and leisure centers that are developing in our area and, with the international flavor of our market, Hialeah Park will be among the “must see” places for the nearly 100,000,000 visitors who come to Florida from around the world.”

The genesis and the execution of the $60,000,000 expansion program have stemmed from the development of a strong business relationship between the management of Hialeah Park and the highly regarded Philadelphia-based architectural firm EwingCole.

“John Brunetti’s strategy for the redevelopment of Hialeah Park is a broad based economic stimulus program as well as a comprehensive revitalization of the historic property,” explained Donald Dissinger, Principal of EwingCole.

“The grounds and buildings are being restored, with the goal of transforming this iconic property into a vibrant mixed use destination for the 21st century with leisure, retail, commercial, and hotel facilities in the heart of Miami.”

The first step of the project, the opening of the Kings Court VIP Poker Room in the Casino, saw the number of available tables increased to 33, with a number of them located in a semi-private area. According to Casino management, Hialeah Park’s facility is now the top-rated poker room in South Florida and ranked within the Top 5 in the entire state.
