Hialeah, FL / December 2, 2014 – Hialeah Park Racing & Casino patrons will have a new option for their transportation needs in and out of this iconic venue beginning Monday December 15.

On that day, the Hialeah Transit System will begin a two-month long pilot program on its Marlin route bus service that adds stops on the grounds of Hialeah Park on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Weekday service on the Marlin route, which runs between NW 107th Avenue and the intersection of East 65th Street and LeJeune Road, will allow riders to arrive at Hialeah Park beginning shortly after 6:00 AM on both westbound and eastbound buses.  Regular service will continue throughout the day, with the last buses in either direction scheduled at Hialeah Park between 7:00 and 8:00 PM.

Weekend and holiday service will be limited, with four buses in either direction scheduled to stop at Hialeah Park starting at 9:20 AM and continuing through 2:33 PM.

Hialeah Transit System officials will evaluate the use and the impact of the new stop over the duration of the two-month pilot program before determining whether the addition will be permanent. Riders are encouraged to offer their feedback by email at
