Hialeah, FL / April 15, 2015 – Hialeah Park Racing & Casino will be “the place to be” on Saturday May 2 as this landmark venue offers simulcast viewing and wagering on Kentucky Derby 141 from Churchill Downs and the pay-per-view telecast of the much-anticipated Floyd Mayweather, Jr. – Manny Pacquiao “Fight of the Century” from Las Vegas.

The Kentucky Derby, in its traditional place on the first Saturday in May, is the first jewel in Thoroughbred racing’s Triple Crown. This year’s race is expected to draw another full field of 20 horses to the starting gate, including impressive Arkansas Derby winner American Pharoah, for the 141st renewal of America’s most well-known horse race.

The winner of Kentucky Derby 141 will become the only Thoroughbred in this year’s class of three-year-olds to have a shot at going on to be the first Triple Crown champion since Affirmed in 1978.

The Kentucky Derby and the entire card at Churchill Downs will be the highlight of the full-card simulcast offerings at Hialeah Park on May 2. The first race of the day at Churchill Downs is set for 10:30 AM ET.

The Mayweather – Pacquiao “Fight of the Century,” from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, will be screened starting at 9:00 PM ET in the Flamingo Lounge and the Havana Café, two popular gathering spots located inside Hialeah Park’s state-of-the-art Casino.

Advanced tickets, priced at $30, can be purchased at the Casino box office cage. Tickets will be available on the night of the pay-per-view event for $40.

Mayweather will put his perfect 47-0 record on the line against Pacquiao, who is 53-5-2 lifetime. Three different titles, the WBC World welterweight and WBA Super World welterweight crowns held by Mayweather and the WBO World welterweight crown held by Pacquiao, will be on the line in the fight.
